I am honored to have had the opportunity to attend the third meeting of CGI America last month. It’s an annual event that gathers thought leaders and various experts to work towards finding solutions that promote economic recovery in the United States. Host President Clinton brought together nearly a thousand leaders from varying businesses, foundations, NGOs, and government sectors with the intention of working together to find alternative solutions for the critical issues currently facing the United States. As a participant in the conference I was able to contribute my own perspective on various issues and topics within these discussions.
The impact of CGI America’s commitment is large and covers a range of issues. At the conference we learned that, when fully funded and implemented, CGI provides STEM (science, tech, engineering and math) education opportunities for over 200,000 students, creates more than 10,000 jobs, and it reclaims 1.2 million metric tons of greenhouse gases through energy efficiency efforts and projects.
The impact of CGI America is great and is bringing positive change to the business, energy, and educational sectors in the United States. I am honored to be a member of CGI in continuing to improve the lives of others, around the world.
